2025 Year in Review
Dang, where do I begin? 2025 didn’t go as I wanted it to, but it wasn’t awful. There were just so many surprises that I didn’t expect.
I loved seeing so many of you readers, authors and new friends at Motorcycles, Mobsters, and Mayhem. This is one of my favorite signings. I’ll hopefully be seeing you all again at another one. I did a local signing in Wasilla that was a lot of fun in February, but other than that I tried to stay in my office and work on words.
It was a struggle but I’m getting new routines going. If everything goes the way it should 2026 could be my biggest year of all.
I was super excited to get the recovering of Securities International going and Talina at Bookin It Designs has been busy doing that for me. I love what we have come up with and can’t wait to see the next few as they get done. Then about mid-year both KL and I decided to break up our Mafia Made series. I’m loving where I took my books and with the addition of Artfully Bred, I can tell you that Tortured Souls Series isn’t done yet.
I also launched my first Mayhem Makers book in February and now I’ve got four of them with more coming in 2026. But it was the announcement in August by Boom Factory Publishing that sent me for a spiral and had me regrouping my thoughts. It took me a moment to recover from that but I’m super excited with where the future is going to be leading me. As most of you know all three of my Until books have been unpublished and I haven’t announced what will happen to them yet. Give me time!
2025 had personal ups and downs for me too. My health has been a slow climb but I’m getting there. I’m working with several local physicians who have taken over my care so I shouldn’t have to travel for a bit. Autoimmune disorders suck and they are a hidden disease, but every day is a new one and I work to make sure that I maintain my diet and will be starting to work out at the local gym soon again. I’ve also stepped away from working outside the house, it helps because physically I can’t tell you what I’m going to be like day to day and that was a stress with working I couldn’t handle anymore.
One of our adopted kiddos not only announced his engagement but we are going to be grandparents again in 2026. This time a little boy. I’m so excited for them and for the family. My oldest daughter got married in August and even though it was a rainy day it was a beautiful ceremony. My younger two daughters are doing good. Dani has left being my PA except when I travel, she has part of my old job and loves it. Kelsey is doing more beaded swag for me and raising my granddaughter to be a book lover too. Finally, the Mister, he’s still working a lot, but he loves where the business is heading and together, we decided not to move out of Alaska for a few more years. Don’t worry I’ll still be going to signings.
Now for the stats that have me shocked.
- 500,000 words written (this could go up as I’m still working on Property of Judge currently)
- 33,000 units
- 4 brand new box sets published
- 10 brand new books published (this includes Until Presley)
- 2 brand new series started
- 1 series completed (Dang I need to work on this number. Haha)
I think that’s a pretty good year. Here we come 2026 be on the lookout for a post January first with my goals for the year. Are you ready for it????
